It's a videoinstallation realized for exhibition-project Brückengang, Cologne 1998. On the one hand, my container should be naturally fit in the city, in the sense that it should not look different than other containers of construction. On the other hand, it should cause a kind of irritation.

The idea is that the passerby should have the impression that the man appearing in the container spends all his time there and behaves totally private. The more one observes this person, the more he appears to be a neurotic. He is alone, without communication with the outside world. Occasionally, he is plunking away on his piano, obviously without controlling the instrument, reading a magazine, eating directly from a can or, seemingly unmotivated, clearing off different things from one corner to another.
